Wood Song by Gary Paulses
I predict that the chipmunk will grab the cookie out of the persons hand.I think this because the chipmunk was hungry.Wood Song by Gary Paulson.I predict that it won't snow for a long time.I think this because the person said it didn't snow yet.I had some questions well I was reading. The first question I had was why did the chipmunk not grab the cookie? The answer is because he was afraid the it was a trick. The second question I had was why DID he believe in ghosts? The answer is because he saw a shadow and heard a noise in the dark well cutting wood.I had trouble with this meaning. I felt my heart slam up into my throat. I used the strategy of thinking in my brain. The answer is feeling nervous, like you can't talk, and feel like you can't really breathe.

Good work Adam!
ReplyDeleteI loved how you described what you thought "I felt my heart slam up into my throat" meant. That was good thinking! Who are the main characters in the book? I see a lot of the word "he" and I am wondering who "he" is. Why did "his" heart slam up into his throat? Give me details to help me understand what your book is about.
